Reinforced Plastic Tubing}

COBOFLEX is designed for specialized, customized, high pressure applications where the inside and outside oft he tubing are subjected to different conditions of wear and/or chemical action.  Made in a 3-layer build-up of inner tubing, braid reinforcement and outer jacket, which can be color-coded.  COBOFLEX is available in a wide variety of sizes from 1.32" I.D. to 3/4" I.D., allowing burst pressures to 25,000 PSI.

Specified requirements start with selecting a...

1. Tube for compatibility with the material to be carried - liquid, gas, chemical, etc. - with the necessary resistance characteristics.  Available materials include Polyvinyl Chloride, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Ethyl Vinyl Acetate, Nylon, Teflon and various Rubber Compounds.

2. Braid reinforcement is added to give strength for the working pressure required.  Burst pressures to 25,000 PSI are available.  Braids of Bronze, Stainless Steel, Carbon Stele, Tinned Copper, Nylon, Dacron or Rayon are among those that can be used.

3. The jacket is selected to withstand the wear, abrasion, chemicals, or whatever conditions exist in the environment where the tubing will be used.  Available materials include Polyvinyl Chloride, Polyethylene, Nylon, Polyurethane, Teflon or Synthetic Rubber, as required.  Color-coding is an added feature.

COBOFLEX is made to order, to meet specific conditions where working pressures must be high, and where the inside and outside of the tubing are subjected to extreme conditions of wear and/or chemical action.

Even though customized to meet specific applications, advanced manufacturing techniques make COBOFLEX surprisingly economical in initial cost.  In addition, because it is designed to meet specific difficult conditions, it far outlasts any tubing hitherto available.

Some typical applications are Beverage dispensing tubing, Glue lines, Packaging machines, Hydraulic and Pneumatic lines, Vacuum Lines, Fuel lines, Antenna lead-in casing, Grease lines, Hydrogen Peroxide hose, Freon charging assemblies, etc.

ENGINEERING INFORMATION
Material:  100% Thermoplastic Polyurethane (Natural)
Temperature Range:  Minus 40†F to plus 200†F (High temperature based on 72† ambient)
Construction:  Coated spring steel helix encapsulated and bonded to hose jacket.
Stock Length:  25 feet

Made from 100% Thermoplastic Polyurethane material, medium weight TPU offers you the highest abrasion resistance possible, while its clear construction allows you to see the material being conveyed.

TPU also offers you high puncture and tear resistance while giving you excellent chemical, oil and fungus resistance, and low temperature flexibility.

Use TPU's tough, dependable construction to convey grain, sugar, fiberglass insulation, sawdust, textile fibers, street, lawn, and industrial applications...anywhere you need a hose to handle abrasive materials.

TPU is available in sizes from 3/4-inch to 6-inch diameters, in lengths of 25 feet.  Stock diameters are 1-3/4, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 4, and 6 inch.
